There are many great resources and people that can help us during the hardest seasons of life, but I believe any path without some connection with our Creator is limited at best. I understand that turning to or including God may be the last thing you want to do. Perhaps you may not believe in or want to have anything to do with Him. I understand. There have been times when I have hated God, questioned his existence, and felt abandoned.
However, I challenge you (and I) to try this very simple step: take 10 minutes daily to say a prayer and read the Bible.
I am not suggesting some complicated Bible study or formal prayers. Just take 2 or 3 minutes and simply tell God how you feel each day ... even if that is saying, "I don't believe in you" or "I hate the life you have given me." Talk to Him like it's a conversation. Then, take another minute or so and read 1 chapter in the Bible. I suggest starting with Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John (here's a free app if you need one).
That's it. Tell God how you feel and then read a bit about the life of Jesus.
I pray that you find the peace and joy you are looking for.
